Philips Cup Singapore
12:39 AM

I just witness a fight, a battle between a few of the tallest guys in the world at the Singapore Indoor stadium.

Olympic GOLD Medalist Argentina battled with FIBA 2002 World Champions Serbia and Montenegro.

Argentina featured numerous NBA players with the widely known San Antonio Spurs player Manu Ginobili. Not forgetting Andres Nocioni from the Bulls and Fabrico Oberto also from the San Antonio Spurs.

Serbia And Montenegro had Orlando Magic's Darko Milicic.

In my experience in front of my computer, he is a tall guy with a medium build body.

When I saw him, he was a GIANT. BIG BUILD. TALL. AND HE SHOOT TREYS. 2 of 2 in fact.

The pressure on Argentina was great as everyone was looking at Manu, as he picked up the ball, dribbled past someone, everyone expected him to score. REBOUND, ASSIST, everything in fact. To me he played well, but I think the word around was he wasn't really great in the game. I think others are expecting too much from him thus he didn't reach the target of the fans but he did well to build Argentina up in the game. It was however Serbia and Montenegro who shown real basketball from the moment the whistle blew.

The game was tense. Three technicals and alot of charging fouls was called.

Eventually Argentina fell 83-64.

Up next was Pau Gasol's Spain and Rasho Nesterovic's Slovenia.

The game had very good tempo, going coast to coast within seconds and scoring. By the time they reached the 3rd quarter, both teams had already scored past half a hundred.

Pau Gasol was a giant in the paint, going head to head with Nesterovic. He went to a line couple of times and made some good ones.

This games was very NBA tempo, and featured some interesting passes, beautiful alley opps and as well as hard drives into the paint.

Eventually Spain caught up in the 3rd quarter to lead all the way and winning 96-85.

I'll skip tomorrow due to work commitments even that I had bought a season ticket.

NOW IT'S SUNDAY I'M WAITING FOR. SPAIN vs ARGENTINA!
