The registration commenced at tweleve pm and we had a lucky pick on the grouping, but our initial team we had to play was the champion contender team, so we went down to the loser bracket to fight it out. It was a good game, never easy, we managed to win 2 games before we made it to the Top 8. A win in this game would seal us into the top 4 fight.
In this game we had to deal with a young center above 180 and a fast point guard who has proven worthy in the past few games, becoming the black horse advancing round after round.
My job in this game, my role was to guard down the fast point guard and hopefully win on the defence and offensively we tried to stall time. The game rule was FIBA 3 on 3, which was the first time we're playing with this set of rules. The inital start was good, I mananged to stop the opponent from even getting any possession. But however on a critical pick, i bruised my thigh as the center who came for the pick happened to have his knee cap right at the position i had to run past. I dropped on the floor and couldn't get up and I was dead worried that I had a muscle tear as I couldn't lift my right leg. It was only after a few possessions they decided to stop the clock and attend to me.
In the time that i was not able to get up, my team lead by 1 and attempted to stall the time. In the second half, I saw that Bon Kiat was already dead tired by helping to guard the opposing point guard that after a good strecth, i decided to give it the last shot.
We end up in a draw after not being able to score on the last possession. I missed the free throw (i.e like a pentaly shoot out) and the opposing team won.
Kudos to Ron, Bon Kiat, Meredith. We're good.
It has been a hasty yet fruitful year thus far for me and I hope that it's been that way for you too.
For me I believe that challenges must be faced to get achieve results and that being the way of life, you have achieved and struggled your way through will win bragging and your own personal rights.
Every year I strive to achieve certain things and this year is one of the most transitional thus far.
Half, and in fact, a quarter of the year has not passed yet and I've already made a transitional package so far.
I have changed my status to 'Married' on personal demographic forms. I've got myself my OWN car, a second car that I can put my name to and I could say that I'm very proud of it having earned it, one way or another. In case you are wondering, it's a KIA Cerato Variant 2.

Our first look into the place was expectionally green. Greenery Green. The exact theme that we have decided on. It was not really love at first sight quality, but after much personal explorations, we find that there are areas that we really like and we want to explore on that.
I won't be bold enough to decide on our part that 'IT's THE PLACE' already, but it's definately one of our top picks.
Welcome to the next journey with me to the next step of my life...
The Singapore Marathon : 7h:10m:15s
AHM 21KM : 01:49:39.39
The math apparently don't seem to tally for the above timings.
21km X 2 = 42km
01.49.39.39 x 2 = not even five hours?
However, like every endurance run that I took part in, it gave me alot of inspirations about life, and gave me a glimpse of what humans are capable when they really want something.
I saw a blind man (clearly because he was blindfolded) being guided along by a lady with a guiding belt, a lady that dragged two tires all the way for the whole marathon and many many old men that came here to show what they got. Today I also managed to extend my endurance limit, pushing myself to walk, even if I could not run, for the last 21 KM (YES I WALKED A HALF MARATHON, for 5 hours!) In my process of walking, i found that many others that were walking with me, NONE of them took any shortcuts, even if the returning portion was just across the streets without any barriers, which saves them at least 2-3km. I even see some rejecting to walk over even if their friend requested them to do so. Then I fully understood, what it meant to have paid for what you get, a full marathon, and getting the finisher medal and the finisher T-shirt at the end of it. Even had you walked the whole marathon, the bragging rights are extremely amazing.
Today, if you participated in the SCM, you are an outstanding individual of outstanding endurance, and you should look at yourself in a different manner. It could be just because of a simple fact, you are not going to walk the way you used to this few days.
